The state has approved Issaquah School District’s request to waive the school day on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

As we celebrate the end of an incredible school year, in today's Community Update video, Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick shares a heartfelt thank you with our dedicated building leaders, staff, teachers, families and caregivers for ensuring our students continue to grow and learn. Tow-Yick congratulates our schools recently recognized by the Washington State Board of Education; and extends warm wishes to all our students as they step into their next chapter.
The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services offers a program called SUN Bucks, which is a grocery benefits program to help families buy food during the summer when schools are closed. Families get $120 for each eligible school-age child. Children who get these benefits can still participate in other summer meal programs. Details enclosed.
Industry experts, recent graduates and other adults with professional experience are invited to share insight with high school juniors and seniors who are participating in the district's new "Career Kickstart" program, a dynamic week of workshops, company visits, panels and job shadows designed to help students explore future careers. Details enclosed.

The district has named Jason Golec as Chief Information and Technology Officer, a position that will guide the strategic integration of technology across all instructional, operational and administrative systems. Golec brings more than 25 years of leadership experience, including more than 20 years in K-12 education, where he has led major technology transformations, modernized infrastructure and strengthened data governance, and cybersecurity.
