Elementary Schools Shift to Semester Schedule for 2023-2024

All Issaquah School District elementary schools will shift to a semester schedule beginning in the fall of the 2023-24 school year. This adjustment will help us improve the timing of report cards for families and for teachers. Elementary buildings were previously on a trimester system.  

Middle schools will remain on a trimester system, to provide consistent access for students to explore elective options. High schools will remain on a semester schedule.  

Changing to semesters offers better timing for elementary conferences and report cards. Parent-teacher conferences will take place in early November this year. Families will receive a report card in February, in time for fifth grade families to consider which courses their student may want to select as part of the course request process. The second elementary report card of the year will be sent to families in June.
