Hello Cascade Ridge Families!
I want to let you know about a project that I am doing right now called Minute Meetings with Ms. Carla.
I am taking the opportunity to get to know our Cascade Ridge students a little better through brief one-on-one meetings with each student. This is the first time I am doing this and when I am finished, I will be reflecting on the communication, scheduling and data collection tool I am using with the intention of further refining the process for early fall.
The primary goal is to build relationships with students and to let each student know that they are welcome to reach out to me whenever needed. In addition, I expect that I will learn about some concerns I had not previously identified and collect data that will help to inform my Comprehensive School Counseling Program.
Each class is taking about an hour to complete, with each student meeting lasting about the length of a trip to the bathroom. I plan to have this project complete in about three weeks total.
I am so excited to be the Counselor at Cascade Ridge and I am enjoying getting to know your students more and more each day!
