- Students will not bring food or drinks out to recess.
- Students will return all playground equipment, even if they did not initially get it out.
- When a student chooses to not wear weather appropriate clothing, they are encouraged to remain in an undercover area for recess.
- All equipment on the playground must be shared and include anyone who wants to play.

Cell Phone/Smart Watch Use
Cell Phones/Smart Watches & Other Electronic Devices
Please remember for your student’s safety and preservation of instructional time that ANY communication with your student during school hours should go through your student’s teacher or the office.
Students may have cell phones and/or smart watches at school. Once a student arrives on campus, students are asked to turn off the device and secure it in their backpack for the school day. This includes phone, smart watches or other communication devices. IF you can use a device to: make a call, send a text, take a picture or record a voice or video then it must remain the student backpack for the entire school day (this includes lunch and recess).
If a student repeatedly uses a cell phone, smart watch or other electronic device on campus during the school day, the student may be asked to keep the device in the office for parent/guardian/caretaker pick up and progressive discipline may be implemented.
Parent/Guardian/Caretaker/Volunteer Responsibilities
Parent/Guardian/Caretaker/Volunteer Responsibilities
Parent/Guardian/Caretaker/Volunteers and Visitors in support of student learning are welcome and valued at Cascade Ridge. Please contact your child's teacher or the school office if you are interested in partnering with the school in a volunteer capacity. Please review the District Elementary Handbook regarding Visitors/Volunteers.
Parent/Guardian/Caretaker Responsibilities at Evening, Weekend and After School Activities:
- Supervise your student at all times.
- Have your student follow the same Coyote Code expectations after hours as they do when school is in session.
- Accompany your student at all times while attending after hour functions.
- Make sure siblings and friends follow the same expectations when visiting Cascade Ridge for all after hours events.
Siblings
The sibling guideline is one that considers the safety and needs of students, faculty and parent/guardian/caretakers. To support participation and ensure both teacher and parent/guardian/caretaker volunteer can focus entirely on the students in the classroom; please see the following:
- Siblings may accompany parent/guardian/caretakers to after school events.
- Siblings may attend classroom parties at the discretion of the individual teacher.
- Due to safety concerns, students or siblings are not allowed in any of the school workrooms for any reason.
- Siblings are not allowed when parent/guardian/caretakers chaperone field trips Siblings are not allowed when parent/guardian/caretaker volunteers are in the classroom, workroom or during instructional times.
