Paws for a Cause Event

Firetruck covered in winter lights

The PTSA hosted "Paws for a Cause" at Cascade Ridge. This winter event was designed to bring families and students together in the spirit of service, with projects suitable for all ages. Service Projects included:

  • Fill the Fire Truck: Bring pantry staples and new unwrapped toys to the event for donation to those in need.
  • Paws & Claws: Winter can be hard on so many of our furriest friends! Help us make some fun kitty catnip toys to benefit the local chapter of The Humane Society.
  • Cardz for Kidz: Last year, this national organization donated nearly 160,000 cards to hospitals, senior homes, foster care agencies, patient homes and directly to those impacted by trauma or disasters. Our students will be making cards and bookmarks to share joyful wishes to those in need of encouragement and support! Cardz 4 kidz has expressed a need for non english cards. We hope you bring your crafty talent and come design a card or two.
  • Color a Smile: This non-profit organization distributes thousands of completed coloring pages to senior centers, military members or anyone else in need of a smile! Students will be using their artistic talents to color pages that will be sent to Color a Smile and distributed to those in need of some joy!
