Winter Choir Concert Takes Place

On Thursday, February 9, students at Cascade Ridge Elementary dazzled students and staff with winter-themed music. This was the first concert showcasing songs about winter. The concert was led by music teacher Ann Marie Petry. Students have been preparing for this performance for weeks. Their hard work paid off when the audience cheered for them following the performance.
Music is one of the arts classes that are offered across our district. Students learn how to perform in front of audiences, how to read music, the power of it and the beauty of it. Music arts is also a space that supports social and emotional learning.
